The Delta variant is challenging us on many fronts. Just when we began dining out and peeking at flight schedules, a new more lethal form of COVID is threatening to tip our stress buckets.
You might be asking, “What’s a stress bucket?”
Talking with nurse practitioner, Cheyenne Ruzich, she explained, “Every person’s level of manageable stress is different, and that’s why you want to monitor your levels and do everything you can to take good care of yourself.”
As you know, releasing stress is highly personal, one woman’s beautiful candles circling the tub (with a glass of Chardonnay, please) is another woman’s marathon shopping trip through Nordstrom’s Last Chance. It’s good to know what works – for you.
One thing we do know is stress is cumulative – we can feel it in our bodies. That’s why it’s important to find ways to empty your stress bucket and use it as an ongoing practice to keep bolstering your health.
Find time to do things that make you feel good – and keep doing them. Pretty soon, Delta will be in the rearview and life will find it’s new normal.
