“What’s that saying, again?” my friend and client, Margo, texted. “What is it, ‘slo-mo gets you there faster?’”

Already in fantastic shape, Margo’s in for a tune-up and we’re addressing old injury patterns in her ankle. Working together, I was slowing her down so she could really feel where she was drawing movement from and where she was resisting.

Alignment is everything when it comes to moving out of painful patterns. Simple exercises to bring you back into alignment make a huge difference. That’s why “how are you feeling today?” is a great start to your workout.

One of the best exercises to fine-tune is bridges with a wall. When you do them slowly (please see today’s vid), you feel a connection through your whole body and where you are “off.”

Being successful in this process we call “aging gracefully” is learning to work with aches and pain. The first step is recognizing your body is amazing. The next step is developing strategies to keep you moving –  forward.
