
Cindy started off great but then a bad cold, work, and a flu bug conspired to keep her away from regular sessions at the Pilates studio. When she finally made it back, we started going over her exercises which she’d been practicing diligently when she felt good.
“You really know what you’re doing, “she remarked. “I’ve been seeing a Doctor for a while and realizing it’s not really going to fix anything. By the end of the week, I’m back to being in pain.”
We reviewed the four-steps to get her back in alignment.
Cindy realized she wasn’t really doing the exercises correctly and by fine-tuning her movement, she was increasing the benefits. It’s really important to note, when you’re working through illness or injury, “slo-mo” often gets you there faster.
Even ten minutes of exercise has the potential to change your day and the trajectory of your healthspan. Just like investing in the stock market, when you invest a little at a time, historically, it adds up to great returns.
