No doubt, construction season is here. It’s the height of the season with the rerouting of traffic, trains, and pedestrians going on, well, just about everywhere.
Even if it takes longer, you know you’re going to get to your destination. Our brains are adept at this type of mapping, often, next time you head out you’ve thought up an alternate route.
I’ve found it’s a great approach to working through injuries, too. Can’t do this, let’s try weaving a different route through the neuromuscular connections. Just like moving slowly around a construction site, it takes time, patience, and often lots of persistence to establish alternate pathways.
But we do get there!
That’s why we need to always do what we can despite injury and find ways to stay strong. It heals the body; it reroutes the mindset.
Just like being stuck on 94, often the best direction is: Don’t Stop – Keep Moving!
