One of my fav gifts of working in my close-knit Pilates community is helping clients stay strong as they move through life’s challenges. On a level that digs deep, it’s helping you recognize along with building stronger muscles, you’re building a stronger mindset to withstand life’s slings and arrows.
Rather than giving up, the question becomes, “how can I get stronger, sharper, and more resilient as I move through this challenge in front of me?”
Not always easy, this I know.
Spiritual stamina is the answer and can be viewed as another aspect of your strength training.
Mindfulness has been my passion for over three decades. I’m fascinated with training the mind-body connection to strengthen our resilience, our neuromuscular connectivity, and our attention.
It’s training ourselves to keep going when the going gets tough, sometimes really tough.
The best way to build spiritual stamina is meditation practice. Creating stillness helps you hone the muscles of attention to release stress and consciously build resiliency.
Each of us has an amazing spirit inside waiting to be tapped.
One of my new fav meditation teachers is Tara Brach. She’s got tons of freebies on YouTube and Spotify and if you’re interested, it’s a good place to start.
Here’s one of her meditations on “Letting Go.”
Let’s keep learning to let go so we can keep on going….
