One of the most interesting things in my latest on-line training is the info on our internal environment. When we’re stuck in non-stop pain, we’re often stuck in negative mind states.

Makes sense, doesn’t it?

The current stats on chronic pain are staggering. Over 20 percent of adults in the U.S. live with chronic pain. That’s debilitating, stops you dead in your tracks kind of pain that keeps you from fully living.

One of the best ways to climb out is to get moving! Focusing on movement helps distract the body from cycling through pain and creates pathways for healing.

So does tailoring  workouts to fit your needs in the present. We really can create an internal environment that conducive to getting the most from every session.

As we’ve been saying, slo’ mo’ can get us there faster.

By checking your internal environment and adding a positive mindset, you can move in different directions. Like a racecar driver calibrating their output, finding the middle road where you can stay focused and steer away from exhaustion makes a huge difference in your feeling state.

We want exercise to help us feel good overall and keep us sharp for the long haul!
