Thanksgiving fills us with much gratitude – and often a whole lot more. From the pesto pizza appetizer and charcuterie tray to the pumpkin pie and Doutbletree cookies, and all those helpings in between, it’s easy to feel stuffed.

Or, should I say overstuffed?

The quickest way to stop the bloating, aching, and gas after the avalanche of calories is to simply stop eating.

A one-day fast can do wonders to help your gut re-boot.

Eliminate all food and drink lots of liquids. That’s it.

Here’s some suggestions: Electrolyte water is great for dehydration and replenishes your system after too much imbibing. Green tea speeds up a gut cleanse and keeps you revving –  even with no food to burn. And bone broth is a great back-up for hangry, it’ll soothe raggedy hunger pangs and help heal the lining of your gut.

All you need is 24 hours, and you’ll burn off a lot of Thanksgiving indulgences. Maybe not all, but one thing’s for sure: your gut will feel a whole lot better.

Give it a try. The only thing you have to lose is a whole lotta stuffing you don’t need to stay on top of the holidays.
