We’re all aware this is a whole new Christmas this year. Spending last year at home locked up with our closest family was hard for most.
This year is different and gives us lots more reasons to celebrate.
Yet I admit, there’s a part of me that longs for quiet, the ease that comes with simplicity, the opening into more spirituality. Doing things like walking over to the conservatory in the lush velvet darkness of evening and seeing inside all the bright white and red poinsettias all decked out for Christmas.
That’s why this holiday season, I’m choosing mindfully.
I know if I want to open more spiritual gifts, I need to actively keep choosing to do less. I need to keep letting go. Old habits will rise up, I’ll fall back, this I know is part of changing. I’ll keep trying.
And that’s my wish for you: In letting go of what you no longer need, all your holiday wishes are coming true.
